The EverDrill project’s englacial (and hopefully subglacial) observations are made possible thanks to the expertise of Dr. Sam Doyle. Sam has extensive experience designing and building custom sensors for monitoring englacial and subglacial conditions and measuring strain rates, which have primarily been deployed in Greenland. For EverDrill, he modified his sensor and logger designs for deployment at Khumbu Glacier, and led the construction of the custom units.
